Let’s talk about plagiarism. What’s the definition of it? Plagarism is the representation of another authors work, language ideas and original work in theirs. Also considered as form of violation academic integrity and breach of journalistic ethics.
We know a lot of people due to laziness and them not wanting to stress them selves they use social medias and takes others work as their work. Example of it was senator Joseph Biden was forced to withdraw from the 1988 Democratic presidential nomination when they found out that he had failed in school of law on one of the course due to plagiarism.
Causes of plagarisim.
- Desire to get a good grade.
- Fear of failing.
- Procrastination or poor time management.
- Disinterest in the assignment.
- Belief they will not get caught.
- Confusion about what constitutes plagiarism or current university policies.
How to prevent plagarisim.
- Directly quote another person’s written or spoken words. Giving credit to the owner by use of quotations.
- Paraphrase another person’s spoken or written words.
- Use theories, ideas, opinions, research, etc.
- Use historical, statistical, or scientific facts or data that are not your own.
As part of my today’s article mostly I request we give credits to required people and stop plagarisim once and for all.
